Yea I can't seem to play the video clips. All that flash stuff makes my head hurt.
New Dave Weckl site is up and running good, thanks to Method Air for the hip design!
Check the news page out.
MethodAir,
Kudos, HOD brutha!!!
You did an amazing job!!!
I guess we all know what your day job is...
LOL

I hope I didn't sound overly critical of the new site. I agree that it's a hip design....certainly not boring and definitely more interesting than the last version.
After a few more visits, though, I still was not able to find too many pics, and I only found about 3 video clips (MD fest 98, "Mesmereyes," and "Got a Match"/Spain). I still find it a little confusing to navigate around and find everything with the dynamic "flash"-style format....just my opinion.

Uno, actually Method Air has a studio and is a very talented drummer too.
I must say, I didn't notice there were video clips before, I didn't see them typed in red. Nevertheless, very well done MA, awesome job!
Interesting seeing weckl again from the early days, like on the clip from 'the next step'. From the hairdo, to the clothes, to the headshake he does after a fancy fill, he's the definitive Mr. drummer, haha.
What was that zildjian ride he used to use before the sabians? The one on the live performance from clip of 'how to develop technique'? I always thought that sounded better than his evolution ride.
I believe that was a 20" K Custom..
My favourite ride of all time!
oo err
I agree with Rudy - it's hard to beat Weckl's style from the late 80's....the sound, the hair, the music.....even today it doesn't seem outdated when I watch one of the old videos.
I'm 99% sure his ride on the Evolution videos is a 20" K Custom. (I'm planning on a 22" Custom for my next ride...beautiful cymbal!)
The ride on his old videos looks like an Earth ride, but reacts like a much thinner cymbal. It has a very unique sound to it (in a good way!)
EDIT: "...and Lee wins the photo finish for posting this reply!"
